A longer looking (1.5 skin) dyed ivory white & grey tipped sheepskin rug. This rug size is perfect for a chair when you need extra length.

One and a half matched sheepskins sewn together, with average dimensions of 60cm x 130cm. For when you need a bit of extra length to go over an armchair.

This colour is a natural ivory white sheepskin with charcoal grey dyed tips. Each sheepskin is unique, and the amount of grey can vary from light and subtle to dark and strong

We will match one and a half sheepskins as closely as we can for you, but you will always see a faint join line where the wool meets.

Protect this dyed sheepskin from bright or direct sunlight.

This sheepskin is perfect for an armchair or bedroom chair. And they can also be used in a home theater room or in front of a fireplace to great effect.

Although these sheepskin rugs are predominantly used on the floor as luxurious coverings this can also be draped over a bed.

Your carefully selected sheepskin may have been tightly packaged for the journey home and so the wool may appear flattened. Wool fibres are very resilient and will bounce back to their original springy appearance.

A vigorous shake will help restore the soft, fluffy appearance of the wool. Any fold marks from packaging will disappear once the skin has been removed from the package for several days.

For full sheepskin washing instructions with photos please read our article.

Washing
Machine or hand wash your sheepskin in warm water (38°C/100°F) using a mild liquid detergent. Spin to remove excess water. Colours should be professionally dry-cleaned only.

We recommend the use of our Woolskin wool wash. Please only use detergents which are non-alkaline, non-iconic and do not contain biological enzymes: Do not use Woolite or laundry detergents such as Tide.

Drying
Dry your sheepskin flat or on a line and stretch to shape while damp. Keep away from direct sunlight and artificial heat. You can tumble dry your sheepskin on a low heat setting.

Take care not to place the sheepskin on a radiator, steam pipe or in front of a fan heater as this may damage the sheepskin. Do not iron or bleach the sheepskin.

Brushing
After washing, the wool may revert back to its natural curly state. You can help restore the fluffy appearance by brushing the wool while it is wet and again when it is dry. A fine wire brush or sheepskin carding brush.
